Hello, my name is Michael Teeling, and I founded INFLUENTIAL in 1998. I have more than seventeen years of marketing communications and public relations experience - almost all of which I've spent in the technology industry, and the last decade here in the heart of Silicon Valley.
I have extensive hands-on experience at software and telecom start-ups running marketing communications. I've practiced on the front lines of both the client/server and Internet revolutions at prominent high tech PR agencies, running successful account teams for public companies.

I founded INFLUENTIAL to focus on management consulting for enterprise technology marketers, specifically in strategic areas that the industry needs to do smarter - such as leveraging industry analysts better and creating stronger B2B tech brands (which I write about on my blog). Depending on client size and unique need, I can function either as an individual contributor or in an "acting director" capacity. In either case, you'll benefit from my skills as a project manager, strong writer, and creative thinker as we pursue innovative programs that deliver results, not just insightful recommendations (although you'll get those too.) You can expect me to be direct - after all, I grew up on the East Coast!
